Description
My family has a lot of Native Australian plants in the gardens around our house and so the place attracts the native birds, too. These two are Rainbow Lorikeets perched on one of the bottlebrush shrubs today, and I managed to catch this one photo before they decided I was too close for comfort and flew off.

These are so much prettier than the brown "Indian Miner" birds that frequent my garden...Then again, I didn't choose any native plants for it since they also attract too many bees (and tend to be very messy plants) But a previous house I lived in had a grevillea plant that attracted lots of them
Now in this new suburb, Cockatoo's are the prevalent native bird around here. Sometimes I see a whole tree full of them. That screech they do in unpleasant, but the birds themselves are always nice to see
